Hakeem Onibudo is a renowned choreographer, performer, mentor, and British Council Cultural Leadership International Ambassador, with a career spanning over two decades. As a dynamic host and MC, Hakeem has fronted red carpet premieres and high-profile events across the UK and internationally.

In 2006, he choreographed Cubism, the world tour for The Pet Shop Boys, collaborating with award-winning designer Es Devlin. In 2008, he launched LIVEVIBE, a talent platform with residencies at Sadler’s Wells, The Peacock Theatre, and Rich Mix. The project later expanded globally with editions in Hong Kong (2010, 2013), Zimbabwe (2012), Caracas (2017), and London (The Place, 2017) in partnership with the British Council.

Nicknamed ‘Mr Impact’ since 2010, Hakeem is the UK’s leading Red Carpet Warm-Up Host, regularly working alongside presenters such as Alex Zane, Edith Bowman, Lorraine Kelly, Clara Amfo, and Radzi Chinyanganya.

Hakeem is also highly active in the charity and arts development sector. He received the Arts Council England CHANGEMAKERS award for his leadership on increasing Black, Asian, and minority ethnic engagement at The Place (Contemporary Dance Trust).

As the Founder, CEO and Artistic Director of Impact Dance, Hakeem “motivates, leads and inspires” ordinary young people to achieve extraordinary things through the medium of Hip-Hop dance. His work has been recognised with the Best Teacher Award at the 2022 Black British Theatre Awards and the Jane Attenborough Award at the 2025 One Dance UK Awards — honouring his exceptional contribution to dance.
